Old Riga

The Gulf of Riga Riga, the capital of Latvia, was founded in 1201. You will have an opportunity to see the medieval dwelling houses Three Brothers, 13th century St. Jacob's Church and 14th century Riga Castle. One of the famous ancient monument in Old Riga is The Dome Square with its dominant - The Dome Cathedral. The foundation stone of the Riga Dome was laid by Bishop Albert in 1211. Now it is the cathedral of the Archbishop of the Evangelic Lutheran Church of Latvia.
